“Remembrance with…”

I have read the letter "Remembrance with…” (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, September 21-October 6, 2024) by B. T. Dastur and would like to state that Khurshedji Tehmulji Desai (popularly known as Khurshedji Bapa) was my direct ancestor who was instrumental in the restoration of the Navsari Atash Behram. His services were often sought for resolving disputes both in religious and civil matters. The rulers in Surat and Baroda respected him greatly. Khurshed Hall in Navsari was built in his memory as a venue for performing collective muktad ceremonies. The names of the persons mentioned by Dastur as being Khurshedji’s relatives are incorrect. I believe there is some mix-up of facts with another person.  BERJIS DESAI berjis@berjisdesai.com ...
