“Passion and compassion”

I read the review of the book Poems ("Passion and compassion,” Books, Parsiana, June 21-July 6, 2023) by Firdaus Gandavia. The book contains many poems about trees. I cannot tell you the joy I feel because years ago I used to be introduced to audiences of advanced students of leadership as "the man who talked to trees.” Since the poet, Meher Pestonji, knows Lonavala very well, I request her to visit Belle Vue in Khandala, which has been part of my late wife Roshan’s family property of five acres for nearly 170 years. Most of the trees on this land were planted decades ago by my wife and I. They are now tall and so unusual in the countryside around that they attract birds, monkeys and other forms of wild life. This is indeed a privilege for me, now nearing 86 years.                 NAWSHIR D. KHURODY ndkhurody@gmail.com ...
