The Mahuva Parsi Anjuman needs Rs 30 lakhs to repair the roof of the Ardeshar Bhikhaji Patel fire temple (dadgah) before the 2024 monsoon season starts, president Hosi Bajina stated at the 113th salgirah function of the place of worship on October 1, 2023. "On this pious day, mah Ardibehesht, roz Srosh, our dadgah building was inaugurated in the year 1910 (CE),” wrote Bajina in a note sent to Parsiana.

After a jashan led by panthaky Ervad Firdaush Karkaria and Ervad Keki Dastur, of Navsari’s Malesar Agiary, the five attendees assembled at the Manekwadi community hall for a humbandagi. Trustee Dr Hosang Mogal gave an overview of the trust’s working, with an update on the dakhma land development. Lunch was catered by Soonu Kasad of Navsari.
"We have built a new farmhouse and installed an extra solar panel,” Bajina informed Parsiana. The Anjuman has repurposed its 14-acre doongerwadi land into plantations. The trustees had informed us in 2022 that the 1,000 bawal trees and 700 sandalwood trees are expected to yield wood after a few years. Meanwhile, they have monetized the land with sugarcane cultivation (see "Vansda revisited,” Parsiana, October 21-November 6, 2022). The Mogal family home is the only residence in Mahuva that is habited round the year. Other families have moved their permanent residence to Navsari and other places.
