Saker Mistri, granddaughter of Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala who established the Central Bank of India, was present at the celebrations of the Bank’s 105th Foundation Day. Along with Rajeev Rishi, chairman and managing director of the Bank, she lit a lamp on the occasion. A grand function with a live music concert by Sonu Nigam at the National Centre for the Performing Arts marked the event on December 21, 2015, mentions a press release sent by the Bank.

Rishi expressed the commitment of the Bank to introduce new services for the benefit of customers, two of which were launched on the occasion. The first is Cent-m-passbook, a mobile App, and the second a Platinum Rupay Debit Card. Fifteen persons from various regions and zones of the Bank received awards for Best Business Performance. Invitees included Reserve Bank of India governor Raghuram Rajan, deputy governor Rama Subramaniam Gandhi, customers and staff of Central Bank. Executive directors Rajkumar Goyal, B. K. Divakara and Dr R. C. Lodha were present as well. Goyal gave a vote of thanks, the press release concludes.
