The sale of the Wadia Group land in Bombay ("Rs 5,200 crore land sale,” Business, Parsiana, October 21-November 6, 2023) is probably among the largest such transactions in the last 30 to 40 years.
Few are aware of the sagacity and foresight of the chief engineer of Spring Mills who snapped up most of the land in Bombay at two annas (or was it two paise?) per square yard! He was a "warrior” — as was Sir Ness Wadia. B. T. DASTUR
