Charter of coexistence

Our ancestors were great entrepreneurs and  pioneers in virtually all walks of life. They not only created wealth, but shared it. Thanks to their philanthropy, no other community enjoys the same benefits of housing, healthcare, education, etc, to the extent that we do. Today we do not have a single member in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, or even in the national cricket team. Have we lost the zeal, passion, integrity, industriousness, philanthropy, courage and above all, striving for excellence in all our endeavors? Community members settled in other countries have adopted the principle of  live and let live, and are enjoying peace and harmony. Even in Delhi and some other places there is no interference and people pray together, party together and  intermarried spouses are welcomed and respected. Children of intermarried couples have the same privileges as others. We all practice the same religion, yet we are in constant conflict over religious matters. A legally framed constitution is the only way to end such conflicts and bring about order, discipline, peace and growth. Things will not change unless we create a such a constitution to govern the community.                  PIROJA HOMI JOKHI piroja.jokhi@yahoo.com ...
