A mobed’s malignancy

An urgent medical appeal has been received from the cousins of 65-year-old Ervad Dinyar Vajifdar who has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a malignancy of the plasma cells of the bone marrow. He was admitted to Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Centre for tests and treatment on May 6, 2024 and discharged on May 28. The treatment is expected to extend over a year requiring frequent hospitalization, alternating weekly day care sessions for chemotherapy and finally stem cell transplant. The total expenses are estimated to be in the region of Rs 1,15,00,000 (USD 137,865). For the recent hospitalization Vajifdar was covered up......
