Planting at doongerwadis

If during this monsoon season volunteers get together, with the support and guidance of trustees of various anjumans and punchayets, we can plant trees at the doongerwadi lands in places like Bombay, Poona, Udvada, Valsad, Navsari and Surat. Fruit trees like mango and chikoo, vegetables like drumstick and tamarind, flowers and bamboo can also be planted in baugs and other Parsi owned places. Even sandalwood and teak could be grown after obtaining the necessary permission. This activity can be promoted if school and college students are given the proper incentives. Let us work together to improve our future and that of our children and grandchildren.
