Regarding my letter "The Utsav’s utility” (Parsiana, February 21-March 6, 2025), the accompanying photograph shows ladies performing the garba in decent traditional Parsi attire. Who could object to such an event? You have incorrectly captioned it as "naach gaana.” My objection was to the risqué Bollywood and western items performed under the banner of Udvada Iranshah Utsav.
Secondly, in the editor’s remark below my letter it is mentioned that Udvada has 6,000 non Parsis and only 200 Parsis, and that "none of the communities has raised any objection to the holding of the festival.” Why should non Parsis have any objections to the utsav? The vehement objections to the utsavs has always been from concerned traditional-minded Parsis for reasons too many to mention here. T. B. ADENWALLA
