Navsari’s cultural tourism

The Parsi Cultural Division (PCD) of the S. B. Garda College Trust in Navsari, along with the local Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) chapter’s Ruzbeh Umrigar, organized a heritage walk in early December 2024, in which senior staff members of the Nrich Skyotel participated, mentions a press note from the PCD.    Above: Heritage walk to Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy Memorial Museum; inset: Dara Deboo This was a specially curated tour to the Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy Memorial Museum at Vatcha Mohalla. During the walk from Lunsikui through the Scout Club, numerous intertwined stories of sociopolitical intricacies of Navsari were narrated by Dara Jokhi. Rohinton Kodia expanded on the history of the Gaekwad Garrison and the Court area, sharing details of the role of India’s Parsis in these areas. At the culmination of the walk Dara Deboo, PCD trustee and committee member of INTACH’s Navsari chapter, thanked the hoteliers of helping promote local tourism and history. He presented them with the Navsari Tourist Information QR standee for display at the hotel’s reception desk.                                      S. V. ...
