At the All Parsees Sports Foundation’s 33rd Jal D. Pardiwala Annual Athletic Meet 2016 held at the University Grounds off Bombay’s Marine Drive on February 13-14, 2016, Anainah Daruwalla won gold in 50 m and silver in 80 m girls Under 6 events. She also took home the Girls Under 6 Championship Shield. Her sister Iyanah, aged eight, also participated in the sports meet, mentioned her mother Parveez over the telephone in response to Parsiana’s queries. The student of J. B. Petit School trains with coaches Akshay Rane (whose mother is a Parsi) and Jui Dadarkar.
The family resides in Cusrow Baug, with father Merzi being an advertising consultant and Parveez a homemaker.
