Promising speaker

Neville Tata, 17, a student of Std XI of Bombay’s Cathedral and John Connon School, will be participating in the national round in March this year of The Great Debate along with partner Tanmay Chopra. The duo had won the heats in Bombay in December 2015, his grandfather Sam Choksey of Bandra informed Parsiana via email.      Neville Tata: debating delegate       ​Named the most promising speaker at the East India Debates 2014, Tata also received special mention at the Model United Nations annual event hosted by the Modern School, Delhi later that year. The lad has represented his School at the Harvard Model United Nations for three consecutive years, winning awards for honorable mention in 2014, outstanding delegate in 2015 and best delegate in 2016. At the International Youth Convention in Lucknow in November 2015, Tata placed second in both debates and quiz. Ordained as an ervad, Tata has excelled in sports as well, having earned a second dan black belt in karate from Kyoshi Vispi Kapadia. He also enjoys playing rugby, the email mentions.   ...
