Your impressive Jamshedi Navroz issue carried a review of the book Iranshah — A Legacy Restored ("Recording the restoration,” Books, Parsiana, March 7-20, 2024), wherein it is mentioned that "efforts were made to replace the old Satvario marble with new marble from the same Satvario family.”
In my days as a practicing architect, I have used Statuario Italian marble. Thereafter, local traders Indianized what must be to them an irritatingly unpronounceable name to "Satvario!” It’s sadly amusing that this misnomer has by now gained such traction as to be nonchalantly used in such an important book.
