Dentist dR Arnavaz Havewala of Bombay was nominated to represent the Medical Women’s International Association at the 59th session of the United Nations (UN) Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) held at the New York headquarters of the UN from March 9 to 20, 2015. Havewala participated in a celebration march organized jointly by New York City and UN Women and Civil Society which commenced from Dag Hammarskjold Plaza and wended its way to Times Square. While in the city, she took the opportunity to visit the New York University School of Dentistry and interact with Dr Ross Kerr, professor of oral medicine and pathology, learning some methods of case recording, biopsy and photographing patients, the email concludes.
