A jashan to commemorate the memory of industrialist Jamsetji Tata was held on March 3, 2022, his 183rd birth anniversary, at his birthplace in Dastur Wad, Navsari.
Ervads Freddy Palia, Mehernosh Madan, Keki Dastur and Firdosh Karkaria recited the prayers. At the Navsari Management Association’s J. N. Tata Memorial Lecture that evening titled "Jamsetji Tata — A man from another ilk,” chief guest and long-time Tata executive Tehmuras (Don) Doongaji (above, l) described Jamsetji as an "unusual industrialist. The roots of the tree are important…to the culture of the Tatas,” he noted.
