The 124-year-old Jeena and Company (Jeena) has announced the merger of freight forwarding and logistics oriented JBS Group, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with its operations. As a part of the merger, Jeena will acquire the customers, team and assets of the 67-year-old JBS Group and expand its custom clearance footprint in Gujarat, noted trade reports. "Post-merger, the (Gujarat) business will operate under the name JBS Jeena Logistics, symbolizing the integration of both legacy brands and their combined heritage… This rebranding reflects the unified approach and the strengthened identity of the merged entity,” Jeena partner Homi Katgara told Parsiana on June 19, 2024.

"The JBS merger with Jeena significantly expands (our) operational scale, enhancing its ability to manage larger and more complex logistics projects…. The combined entity, JBS Jeena Logistics, is expected to (yield)… a substantial boost in business volume and capacity,” stated Katgara. "JBS Logistics specializes in customs clearance and IATA (International Air Transport Association) cargo handling that complements Jeena’s existing services… This alignment enables JBS Jeena Logistics to offer end-to-end logistics services, including projects and international freight forwarding.”
The merger will be beneficial for the client base of both Jeena and JBS, he stated: an integrated logistics solution "providing a seamless experience;” enhanced service offerings and expert support; an expanded footprint; tailor made solutions. "Customers can expect innovative and efficient solutions tailored to meet the evolving demands of the logistics industry,” stated Katgara.
