The statue of thinker and politician Dadabhai Naoroji in Navsari’s Clock Tower area was garlanded on his 198th birth anniversary on September 4, 2023 under the banner of Dadabhai Naoroji Vyakhanmala Committee. The Bombay Parsee Association (BPA) garlanded his statue situated on the corner of Dr Dadabhai Naoroji Road in Bombay’s Fort area.
Earlier, on September 3, the BPA commemorated the heroes of World War I and subsequent wars at Khareghat Colony’s war memorial, the only one in the world maintained by the community. After wreaths were placed at the memorial, a naval trumpeter sounded the Last Post followed by the Reveille.
