Dr Homi Dhalla who was instrumental in introducing solar panels at Doongerwadi has been reportedly co-opted on the Doongerwadi Advisory Committee (DAC). Ervad (Dr) Rooyinton Peer declined to join the DAC but was "happy to assist,” according to reports.
The first meeting of the DAC was held at Doongerwadi on Sunday, September 25. Dastur Khurshed Dastoor, high priest of Udvada, reportedly inquired as to the number of pavis, how long the bodies were kept on the pavis and other information which the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) administration will collect and provide to him.

At one juncture BPP trustee Khojeste Mistree is said to have referred to Dastoor as "our friend here,” to which Dastoor is said to have retorted he be addressed as Dasturji sahib. When Mistree mooted his pet project, the creation of an aviary to breed vultures at Doongerwadi, one of the priests reportedly told him "don’t waste our time.” As long as Parsis consume the drug diclofenac their corpses cannot be fed to the vultures as the pain killer is a deadly poison for the scavengers.
Attempts are to be made to find sponsors to renovate and paint the bunglis at Doongerwadi. The donor may reportedly arrange to have the work undertaken.
