Not married for money

A prominent Parsi lady said, "We do not want Parsi girls married to non-Parsis because they and their children may fight for the funds from Parsi charities.” Please note that in this statement there is no mention of racial purity or the sanctity of religious beliefs. If money is the only consideration, one can always exclude such Parsi girls from Parsi associations and route all the charity funds through the organizations alone. Why prevent outmarried women from entering the agiary and praying to the God they have been worshipping from childhood?  Incidentally, non-Parsis do not marry Parsi girls hoping to get a share from Parsi charities.                 VICTOR ANANDAM Bangalore vanandam@hotmail.com ...
