Educationists Diana Marfatia, principal of Avabai Petit Girls’ High School and Kashmira Jamali (née Khariwala), principal and co-founder of Beacon High (school) were felicitated with the Singhania Education Excellence Awards 2023 on September 1, 2023 by Maharashtra governor Ramesh Bais at the Raj Bhavan for their "exemplary services to the field of education.”
The Award was presented to 50 principals of various Maharashtra schools. Marfatia told Parsiana on September 24 that to her "such an award or recognition just reassures me that I am on the right path and reminds me that I must not rest on such laurels and spurs me on to work harder and do still better.” Jamali told us on September 23 that this was one of the many prestigious awards that she has received. "This is more special as it was given to me by the governor… My 42 years of dedication to the field of education is now being recognized and appreciated.”
