Erratum

Along with the article "Where pilgrims progress” (Zoroastrians Abroad, Parsiana, August 21-September 6, 2023) we had carried the image (below) with an incorrect caption: "Visual showing members of different faiths drawing inspiration from the fire.” The painting that depicts only Zoroastrians and is currently in Tehran was done by the late Mobed Shahbaharam Shahzadi. According to his son-in-law Firdaus Irani, it depicts "a mobed’s initiation ceremony (nouzti) as it is performed in Iran. He wanted to capture all Zartoshtis around the world in the painting. He even has his own likeness painted in; it’s the gentleman wearing the long green overcoat.” Parsiana regrets the error.      ...
