On reading your cover story about the muktads ("Remembrance with reverence,” Parsiana, August 7-20, 2024) I would like to add that Khurshed Hall in Navsari was built in 1940 to conduct prayers only for the Desai family. But as time passed the trustees allowed prayers to be performed for other Zoroastrians as well.
Actually the Hall was named after Khurshed, famously called Khurshedji Bapa, who had made a large contribution towards the consecration of the Navsari Atash Behram in 1765.
There are no pictures of the muktad tables as photography is not permitted in Khurshed Hall. KHURSHED DESAI
