The J. B. Vachha High School is celebrating its centennial from June 24, 1924 to June 24, 2025. To commemorate this milestone, in addition to functions and programs, the management is bringing out a book encapsulating the history of the School, and much more.
The book, Brick by Brick… Thought by Thought… The J. B. Vachha High School, which is scheduled to be released at the School’s annual day program at the Shanmukhananda Hall on December 19, 2024, has been written by me. The cover has been designed and illustrated by Vyoma Shah Parekh. Both of us have done so pro bono.
The book contains chapters on the School’s inception, the Dadar Parsi Colony where it is situated, the activities and associations within the Colony, trustees, principals, teachers. Memories and stories of several ex-students are included. The history of the School is interwoven with that of the Dadar Parsi Colony and the Dadar-Matunga-Wadala area. The book will also contain photographs, past and present.
