A few days prior to the October 10, 2023, 63rd salgirah celebrations of the Cursetjee Manockjee Shroff Agiary, the young and old of the Jamshedpur community got together to help in cleaning the fire temple. The anniversary was marked with two maachis, a jashan and high tea.  Sarosh Vazifdar delivered a talk on "Our holy fire and its significance in our lives.” "We are a small community… The fire temple sees about 18 to 20 footfalls per week and about 30 on hamkaras. The community celebrates mah Ava, roz Avan at the Agiary’s well, as well as mah Adar, roz Adar. "There are jashans on all parav days, Parsi New Year and Khordad Sal, jashans for the birth and death anniversaries of industrialists Jamsetji and J. R. D. Tata.” The mah Fravardin, roz Fravardin jashan is performed at the aramgah.  Besides Madon, the other trustees are Bailey Bodhanwala, Daisy Irani, Zubin Palia, Farida Indorewala, Savak Patel and Bachoo Master.  ...
