A Shahenshahi Navroz dinner/dance in August, summer barbeque in July, annual seminar on Zoroastrian religion, history and culture in June were the activities planned by the World Zoroastrian Organisation (WZO) at different venues in London this year.
Next year they plan to open their own headquarters at Bridge House in Feltham, "a stone’s throw from where Queen frontman Freddie Mercury (Farrokh Bulsara) lived as a young man,” according to a report by Robert Cumber on the website getwestlondon.co.uk dated August 7, 2015. After making the purchase, WZO has been leasing space to the founders of Space Studio West London and once the school moves into its premises in 2016, WZO plans to turn half the building into a community center and rent out the other half as office space or for hire by local groups, adds Cumber.
Further details are awaited in the next issue of Hamazor, the quarterly published by WZO.
