In the piece "New PZASH president” (Events and Personalities, Parsiana, December 21, 2023-January 6, 2024) about senior trustee of the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Secunderabad and Hyderabad (PZASH), Khorshed Chenai, 93, being nominated president of the Anjuman, she has referred to the aging community, stating that "few super senior citizens living alone” is a big concern.
Interfaith marriages, very low birth rate, non-acceptance of children born of interfaith marriages as Parsis/Iranis, late marriages or very few marriages taking place are other major concerns facing the Zoroastrian community.
Many seniors having no descendants but owning real estate are conned into selling their properties at throwaway prices. This has taken place in cities like Bombay, Hyderabad and Poona. This is a major problem.
