The melodious chants by the priest wafted through the silence of the early morning, as we soaked ourselves in the patli-raat na prayers (below) for dear Mummy at the Kaikhushru Pallonji Katrak Dar-e-Meher in Delhi.  When we had walked across from the Mengusi Dharamshala to the Dar-e-Meher, the skies were grey and cloudy. But after the solemn chants and prayers, we walked out to be greeted by the crack of dawn. The warm orange glow of the morning was almost ethereal, framing the beautiful structure of the Dar-e-Meher (below). The blue skies, the gathering clouds, the sun hidden behind, all played their roles in making it almost picture perfect. ...
