I read with interest Berjis Desai’s piece "Fighting extinguishment” (Parsiana, September 7-20, 2023) on the fate of fire temples in the Indian subcontinent.
While, as he notes, some of the best known ones have been restored with due reverence and aesthetics, others languish due to lack of proper quorum, amongst other factors.
Would it be possible for some enlightened member of the Parsi community to create a map marking the location, timeline and viability for worship of the fire temples? Perhaps this has already been done. An online survey might also be considered. GEETA DOCTOR
